Reminders

Good evening, Bethesda Parents!  This is Principal Moore-Lawrence with the Principal's Weekly Spotlight. Here are announcements for the week.

#1        Last week was a very busy week at Bethesda. From Teacher Appreciation Week to Spring Spirit Week to the Spring Forward Transition Event to Field Day to Nurse Appreciation Day to the PTA Spring Carnival, we thank our parents, students, PTA, and staff for having fun every day with huge smiles and awesome enthusiasm.  All of these events were a success because of each of you.

#2       EOGs are finally here and we’re ready!  On Tuesday, May 15th, 3rd-5th grade students will take Reading, Wednesday, May 16th, they will take Math Calculator Active and Thursday, May 17th, they will take Math Calculator Inactive.  On Monday, May 21st, 5th grade students will take Science.  We know that every student is ready to make 3s and 4s.  Please make sure that students get plenty of rest at night, arrive to school before 9:00, and come to school each day.  If students arrive late or are absent, they will have to make up the test.  Students who earn 3s or 4s, will be invited to an EOG Dance Party.  Students who come to school every day and on time during EOGs will participate in the Kickball Tournament.

#3        On Monday afternoon, 3rd-5th grade students will attend the EOG Pep Rally.

.

#4        DPS will host its Title One Conference on Saturday, May 19th at the SDC on Hillandale Road from 8 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

.

#5        Come check out DPS’s Spring Elementary School Art Exhibit at Northgate Mall from May 16th-May 28th.
