Bethesda Students Excel! * 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students show double digit gains for proficiency during the 2007-08 year * Highest 5th grade math scores out of 28 elementary schools * One of the top 3 elementary schools for proficiency in science * 2nd grade students grew 18 points for proficiency in math * School of High Growth * 3rd highest scores in math for 4th grade students *4th grade writing scores had 8.2% growth (one of the highest in the district) Mission Statement: Bethesda Elementary School, teachers, staff, families, and the community will interact to create a positive environment in which all students can achieve success.
